WATERMARK - 24 students die in Himachal, Larji Hydel project.
While seeing this video, i was shocked to observe one thing that this video had a big watermark saying Amar ujala exclusive. The race among the channels has gone to such a cruel limit that these media houses dont even see the extent to which they are heading. I totally understand the reason of driving business and selling the videos and news to other news houses. But, the watermark above all the students. On one side you feel pity for the students, and on the other hand, this watermark clearly trying to show the prowess and business model and above all a PRODUCT of a media house which they are trying to sell. It is just another product for them which is highly sale-able and is to be sold and en-cashed. Clearly, it shows that death creates the best business for the media houses.
This EXCLUSIVE business is annoying. Had i been in a position to request, i would have asked the media houses to do there business, fair enough, but at least in such a tragic case. Do make a small watermark on any corners of the screen. It will still be visible and stop forcing the people to see the unwanted advertisments.May be in a few days, media sources will be saying, first HD video, than first 3D video of tragedy.
This is kind of advertorial where the business is being done by Death and the presenter is trying to encash it in every possible way. For the sake of grieving mothers and fathers, stop throwing watermarks on there faces and let them grieve and pray that they find the bodies of there children and can say a good bye forever and wish peace for there souls.
